Turmeric is one of the most common ingredients in Ayurvedic medicine.
There is no other food that has such strong anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore, turmeric a super agent for rheumatoid arthritis and cancer. But there is one important thing we must NOT forget. Turmeric is poorly absorbed by the digestive system. It can NOT pass through the digestive tract unless it is mixed with pepper or ginger, which is always the case in curry. According to studies, people in India suffers only one-eighth as many cases of cancer. It is believed that depends on the large amount of turmeric they eat daily.
