The garlic and its benefits


Garlic has a rich amount of antioxidants, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D and E, and the minerals calcium, copper, iron, manganese, phosphorus, potassium and selenium.
It purifies the blood, and maintain a healthy bacterial flora in the stomach.
Garlic also helps keep your cholesterol down, it keeps the arteries clear of plaque, it stimulates the liver, bile and digestive disorders.
Since garlic is antiseptic and antibiotic it inhibits the growth of viruses and bacteria, which may be beneficial for colds.
Some population studies show that people who eat a lot of garlic have a lower risk for cancer in particular, stomach, colon and prostate.



So why not start eating garlic today?
Self, I eat a lot of pickled garlic and think it's really tasty.

Garlic dressing.
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ cup basil and garlic vinegar
½ cup olive oil with lemon flavor
1 cup canola oil
2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper
1 teaspoon pesto in a jar
Salt - can be excluded
Pressed garlic

Garlic can also be used for diarrhea.
Proceed as follows:
Boil five cloves of garlic for about 15 minutes.
Throw out the garlic and pour the water into a cup.
Add lemon and honey.

White chickpeas


Are you longing for something to eat but don´t want to be unhealthy?
Then I recommend white chickpeas. They can be roasted or not, but without salt. Contains some fat, but is also very useful and good for you. They can be bought in markets and some shops.
Do like me and munch on them.
They contain a lot of proteins, minerals calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, manganese and beta carotene. Has a high content of folic acid.
They facilitate renal function, cleans the intestines and is an excellent source of vegetable protein.

Green tea for your health

Green tea is the ultimate beverage for a fresh complexion, it's even better for our skin than water.

It is a natural remedy for acne and pimples. Green tea also prevents the pores from clogging up, and the skin becomes inflamed.

Many countries uses green tea as a medicine, so drink green tea daily to strengthen the body's protection against the harmful effects that can ruin your beauty.

Green tea is also good for headaches, body aches, digestion and to fight depression. It strengthens your immune system and has a detoxifying function. Modern Studies show that green tea may prevent or slow the growth of cancer, good for weight loss, help reduce high cholesterol, strengthen the immune system, work as an antibacterial, help sunburn, hives and caries and few other things. This is because green tea contains volatile oils, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, caffeine, polyphenols and antioxidants.

Green tea may prolong life, at least if you are from Japan. In a population study involved over 40,000 adults Japanese, and they were followed for a period of eleven years (1995-2005). When the researchers looked at specific causes of death, it was made only for seven years (1995-2001).

Since green tea is very sensitive of heat,  you should not use boiling water. Boil your water and let it cool for a few minutes before you put in your tea. The water should be 75-78 degrees.

You can also drink your tea cold. Brew a big batch and store in the fridge, but no longer than 10 days.

If you use you a tea bag into your tea, do not throw it away when you're done.

It can be used as the mask, or scrub. Very good and effective on the skin.

Homemade hairmask

As you now know, I advocate natural products for the body.
I like to take care of myself and use ingredients available in my kitchen.
Today I'll tell you about a hairmask I usually do for myself. It makes my hair feel great and I avoid unnecessary chemicals. Furthermore, the products are always at home, so when I suddenly am in the mood of taking care of myself a little bit extra, or when I notice that my hair feels brittle and dry. I do this nice and lovely hairmask. This I can make any number of times.

The ingredients for the hairmask is:

* 1 egg yolk
* 1 tsp honey
* 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
* 3 tsp mayonnaise
* 1 tsp olive oil

Mix all ingredients with a fork in a bowl. Spread out all over your hair and wrap a towel or plastic wrap. Leave for at least 30 minutes. Preferably longer. Rinse and then wash your hair as usual.

The egg white that is left over I use as a facial mask. First I clean my face carefully. Then I use a facial scrub, not necessary but it gives better results. After that I apply the leftover white from the egg and leave it on my face for about 15 minutes before rinsing off.

To make a total relaxing time for myself I lay down comfortably, a couple of slices of cucumber on my eyes and then I put on meditation guidance. After this I feel fresh and awake.

Green smoothie for shiny skin and hair

I found this youtube clip and immediately got interested.

This smoothie gets you shiny, glowing skin and hair.
I can recommend it to myself, since I´ve tested it.
You´re able to influence your body positively with natural ingredients  which is something I strongly advocate.
Also it tastes quite alright.
There's tastier smoothies like the one I wrote in my previous post, but the feeling when you drink this and know how the body absorbs all the nutrients makes this drink irresistible.
With just these ingredients below you can create this health drink.

Water
Citron
Apple
Pears
Celery
Roman salad
and

Broccoli

Broccoli is one of our most nutritious vegetables.
It is said that it has the largest potential for preventing cancer.
Broccoli contains many anti-cancer plant substances and it also contains the impressive amounts of folic acid.
The cancer it treats the best, is breasts - and bowel cancer. The healthy folic acid also prevents from heart diseases.
Broccoli has a very rich amount of vitamins and contains vitamins A, C, and E.
It is also rich in iron, calcium, magnesium, zinc and minerals.
In order to retain all the essential nutrients it should be eaten raw.
A lot of the healthy nutrients disappears in boiled water.
The other properties of broccoli  is that it boosts the immune system, detoxifies the digestive system and helps the liver to carry out the toxins from the body.
It also stimulates the formation of serotonin, a mood-enhancing substance, which can help treat depression.

A healthy and very tasty strawberry smoothie


A tasty smoothie perfect for breakfast or lunch is my homemade strawberry smoothie. It´s both healthy and satiating.
This is done preferably on fresh strawberries. My homemade smoothie contains:

2 handfuls of strawberries
1 banana
2 cm ginger
2 tablespoons of flaxseed oil
2 tablespoons cold-pressed rapeseed oil
rice milk
a little cayenne pepper

Mix everything together and pour into a glass. Drink it immediately

Strawberries




The incredibly good berry named strawberry is something I really recommend you to revel in. It´s not just that the berry is incredibly tasty, it also affects health positively.

You can use it in baking, smoothies or just eat it as natural as it is.
Strawberries contain antioxidants, vitamin C, ellagic acid, iron, fiber and folate. It strengthens the immune system and protect against aging and depression.


It is enough to eat only 50 grams a day to lower the bad cholesterol. What also is amazing is that they can reduce the risk of cancer of the colon, breast and prostate. If you already have cancer, they have a protective effect, helping to influence the growth of cancer.

A strawberry contains more vitamin C then a whole orange and the more of the color red  the strawberry contains, the more of vitamin C. Vitamin C is important for the body's connective tissue as blood vessels, skin, teeth and bones

Saffron is a spice that gives our food a beautiful yellow color. The aroma of saffron is usually described as reminiscent of metallic honey with grassy and hay top notes, and its flavor as well, hay and slightly bitter. Saffron has proven to be helpful to the growth of cancer and prevention of cancer. Research has shown that saffron may even reduce the tumors of liver cancer. It stimulates the liver's detoxifying activities.
In addition to the serious illness of cancer that gives saffron also protect against hair loss and aging.
It also helps to release chemicals in the brain called serotonin, which contributes to the good mood. Saffron extract boosts the mood and gets rid of the bad feelings, resulting in less emotional behavior and thus reduces depression
However, restrictive intake, as saffron is toxic in larger amounts, and the maximum recommended daily dose is 1.5 grams. Even at 5 grams can be affected by, among other things vomiting and bleeding, and at 20 grams, one has reached a lethal dose.
